ABOUT
Michael Gottlieb concentrates his practice on the representation of medical providers in reimbursement disputes with commercial health insurance carriers. Catering to both in-network and out-of-network providers, Michael represents hospital systems, surgeons, ambulatory surgical centers, hospices, and medical billing companies, among other specialties. He has achieved hundreds of successful outcomes through state and federal litigation, arbitration and mediation.
While Michael’s practice primarily focuses on payment disputes, he also routinely advises his clients to help streamline reimbursement procedures and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. James Greenspan concentrates his practice on the representation of medical providers in reimbursement disputes with commercial health insurance carriers. James’ practice is active in the New Jersey, New York and Federal “Surprise Bill” arbitration forums, as well as State and Federal litigation. Over the past ten plus years, James has won thousands of arbitration awards and recovered over 100 million dollars for his medical provider clients.
James is a former member of the Forthright Advisory Council for No-Fault Disputes in the State of New Jersey, which is responsible for revising arbitration rules and the selection and review of dispute resolution professionals. He has also lectured for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education on the topic of PIP arbitrations, and for the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Healthcare Financial Management Association on The No Surprises Act arbitration process and medical revenue recovery.

ABOUT
Debra Clifford’s business and commercial litigation practice encompasses a broad range of litigation matters for public and private companies and individuals. Debra has represented clients in trial and appellate work in the state and federal courts of New York, New Jersey and Idaho, and has handled several arbitrations and mediations. Prio to joining Gottlieb & Greenspan, Debra worked at a large New Jersey firm representing a major ERISA benefits administrator and carrier regarding payor/provider reimbursement disputes and her name appears on many published and unpublished opinions in the ERISA arena.
Debra has been recognized by Best Lawyers as well as New Jersey Super Lawyers, and she was named to the Irish Legal 100 in 2019 and 2020. ABOUT
Svjetlana Tesic’s healthcare litigation practice consists of representing both in-network and out-of-network medical providers in state and federal actions, including claims brought under the “No Surprises Act” and ERISA.
Prior to joining Gottlieb and Greenspan, Svjetlana represented clients in commercial disputes, employment discrimination actions, and insurance litigation. She has substantial experience litigating federal qui tam actions brought under the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Stark Law. Before joining the practice of civil litigation, Svjetlana served as an Assistant Prosecutor for four and a half years, prosecuting a variety of indictable crimes, ranging from weapons offenses to first degree sexual assaults.
Svjetlana graduated magna cum laude from Montclair State University in 2013 and Seton Hall University School of Law in 2016, where she was the Student Bar Association President and a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court Board. Joseph Devine is an associate of the firm who primarily focuses his practice on the representation of medical providers in civil litigation and arbitration. Primarily, Joseph concentrates on contractual and quasi-contractual disputes, representing both in-network and out-of-network medical providers in State and Federal Court as well as in the AAA arbitration forum.
Joe brings extensive litigation experience to Gottlieb and Greenspan, having previously served as managing attorney for a New York City based creditor’s rights firm. Daniel Krieger is an associate attorney of the firm who primarily focuses his practice on the representation of medical providers in civil litigation, representing both in-network and out-of-network providers in State and Federal Court.
Prior to joining the Gottlieb and Greenspan team, Daniel represented insurance companies and their insureds in civil defense matters, with a particular emphasis on automobile liability, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, premise liability, and general liability in both State and Federal Court in New Jersey. During his formative years, Daniel served as a Law Clerk for a national law firm, where he formed a foundational understanding of insurance company guidelines and helped ensure firmwide compliance. Prior to practicing law, Daniel worked for a legal tech start up, where he significantly contributed to the company’s remarkable revenue growth.
Daniel graduated from SUNY Albany in 2015 and Albany Law School in 2019. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey as well as in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
