ABOUT
Eric Schmidt is an associate at Gottlieb & Greenspan where he represents various medical providers in billing and reimbursement disputes with commercial health insurance carriers. With a primary focus on surprise billing litigation, Eric represents both in-network and out-of-network providers in state and federal court, as well as in private arbitration forums.
Prior to joining the firm, Eric worked at a non-profit consumer protection law firm in Boston, Massachusetts, where he concentrated on class actions, impact litigation, and individual representations relating to predatory student loan practices. He also previously worked for the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office where he represented numerous state agencies and litigated consumer protection cases on behalf of the public.
Eric is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and Lehigh University. He is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts, as well as in the United States District of Massachusetts and the United States District of New Jersey.
